Teaching literacy is an exorbitant task in which teachers need all the tools they can possibly gather in order to make sound decisions about which best practices to implement in their classrooms. Here I hope to compile many of the great strategies I've learned from others as well as the original ideas that I am using in my classrom to teach literacy. What I am using for minilesson, small groups, reader's notebooks, word study, writing instruction, et. Take what you will, try it, continue using it if it works for your classroom, toss if it doesn't, but remember to share it if it does!
